Last week I checked out Lolita in the Back Bay, and it was incredible! Lolita is a super hot spot in Boston right now. It was just listed as one of OpenTable's Top 100 Dining Spots in America, and I've been hearing about it from a number of local foodies. When I posted about my visit on instagram earlier this week, I received several comments about it being nearly impossible to get a reservation. After my visit, I can definitely understand what all of the hype is about — the food is delicious and the atmosphere is unique and alluring.
I visited Lolita on a Monday night, when they host their “Taco Monday.” With this special, you can have as many hard shell tacos as you want for $9 — quite a steal! While it sounded great, we wanted to order a variety of additional menu items. That just means we'll have to go back on another Monday!
During our visit, we tried the lobster enchiladas, the “that corn,” shrimp tacos, and the ceviche. We paired our meal with a diablo margherita and a lime-coconut, which is a amazing coconut milk non-alcholoic drink. Every table also gets a huge bowl of chips paired with three different types of salsa. They were delicious! For dessert, we enjoyed the chocolate cake (although next time I go back, I'm getting the churros too!). As if that wasn't enough, each dining party also gets cotton candy topped with pop rocks with their check — what a nice touch! Check out my photos below!
