This past Friday I had the pleasure of attending the kick-off of The Liberty Hotel’s Summer Wine Dinner Series! It’s an incredible evening of delicious food and wine enjoyed in The Liberty Hotel’s outdoor private courtyard.
The theme for our dinner was Sauvignon Blanc and Seafood. We started the evening with some hors d'oeuvres including oysters, bruschetta, and an octopus crostini. It was paired with a delicious sangria.
I loved that before each course, we were given an explanation of the pairings. For our first course, we enjoyed a grilled prawn dish with frisee, radishes, and green strawberries. It was paired with a 2015 Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.

For our entree, we had a delicious seared snapper. It was paired with a 2014 Domaine Fussier from Sancerre, Loire, France.

We ended the night with an Apricot and Honey Tart for dessert, paired with a 2012 Antoine Moueix “La Fleur Renaissance” from Sauternes, Bordeaux, France.
