Today I checked out the recently opened location of Oath Craft Pizza in Davis Square! I loved their creative topping combinations, fresh ingredients, and delicious and crispy crust. Their pizzas are made in a special oven, take only 90 seconds to make, and come out perfectly crispy.
I’m always looking for a pizza that is light and crispy yet doesn’t fall over from the weight of the toppings when held up, and Oath definitely passes that test. They also carry super fresh and tasty salads as well as some creative dessert pizzas.
During my visit, I decided to try two of the savory pizzas — the Muffled Trushroom and the Porky Fig, which is a seasonal special at Oath Craft. I paired it with their Whale's Kale salad.
The Muffled Trushroom truffle sauce, mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, ricotta, and parmesan
The Porky Fig mozzarella, brie, dried black mission fig, crispy pancetta, balsamic drizzle, and basil
Whale's Kale Salad
with romaine, kale, grape tomatoes, grilled chicken, parmesan crisp, and shaved parmesan

I really love that you can order a half of a pizza. For someone like me who likes to try everything, being able to order a half is great.

The dessert pizzas were delicious as well. Oath is currently carrying two dessert pizzas, the Triple Chocolate Cookie Pizza and the Sweet Melissa. The Triple Chocolate Cookie Pizza is topped with chocolate chip cookie pieces, ricotta, and powdered sugar. The Sweet Melissa, which is named after the owner’s wife (how adorable!), is topped with New York style cheesecake pieces, ricotta, strawberry drizzle, and powdered sugar.

I was so happy to have a chance to talk to the founder, Dough Ferriman, while I was visiting Oath. He is so passionate about about serving up great pizza, and I love his emphasis both on creating a unique style of pizza crust and on sourcing fresh and quality ingredients — which includes the pizza toppings, the salad contents, and even the sodas. Oath has a Stubborn Soda machine, which uses Fair Trade Certified Cane Sugar and no high fructose corn syrup.

I can't wait to go back to Oath! They have locations in Davis Square, Chestnut Hill, and Nantucket. They also have a stand in South Station. Check out more about them here.
