One of my favorite spots in Boston to go with friends is Lolita, an awesome and incredibly popular Mexican restaurant in the Back Bay. Despite being open for over 6 years, the craze is strong; it’s always nearly impossible to get reservations there! Everybody (including me), loves their drinks, tacos, and the atmosphere — a super sexy and dramatic space. They recently debuted a new menu, with more of a focus on shareable plates, and it’s as delicious as ever.
During my recent visit, we started with drinks: the diablo, the naughty pineapple, and the white lie.
Then, we started with some guac fresco, grilled street corn, hummus, and their crispy Georgia rock shrimp, my favorite addition to the new menu!

Tacos came next! We tried the skirt steak, crispy cauliflower, and wild shrimp.

We couldn’t leave without their churros — they come with a chocolate sauce and a passion fruit sauce.
And, one of my favorite things about Lolita hasn’t changed — the cotton candy with pop rocks that they bring you at the end of your meal.
