I was so happy to go back to Painted Burro this weekend! I first went earlier this year, when I was one of the judges for their annual Guac Off, where ten teams competed for the title of Best Guacamole. That was such a fun day — I knew I had to go back soon!
We started our dinner this weekend with some of Painted Burro’s beautiful cocktails — the Mango Margarita and the Peach Sangria. As delicious as they are beautiful!

Then, we ordered a plate of their Chorizo Nachos. Can you believe this is only a half order? Paired with a Kale salad for some balance, of course.

Then, tacos! After being so full from the nachos, we just got one each — the calamari taco and the beet taco.
Dessert was better than I ever could have imagined. Not only churros, but also an awesome selection of ice cream and sorbets — coconut avocado and Mexican chocolate ice cream, and guava and lychee sorbet to name a few. We opted for the guava sorbet and the coconut avocado ice cream.

This is at the top of my charts of places I’m recommending to friends! Especially all of my friends still living in the Cambridge/Somerville area. What a gem in Davis Square!
