Banyan Bar + Refuge
September 20, 2016
I had a great dinner recently at Banyan Bar + Refuge, an incredible Asian Gastropub in the South End with a beautiful outdoor patio. I had eaten there this past winter, and when I was in the South End a few weeks ago and saw their beautiful patio, I knew I had to go back.

We started with the Bhaji and the beet salad. Bhaji is an Indian onion fritter, and Banyan makes theirs with garam masala, smoked tomato chutney, and yogurt. It was one of my favorite dishes of the night!

We paired it with their cocktail, “Our Painkiller,” a drink of spice infused rum, pineapple, orange, and coconut foam.

Then, we enjoyed the roasted cauliflower dumplings, the Korean BBQ Tofu, and the ramen.

We ended the night with a lime ice cream sandwich made with a fortune cookie shell.
