I was so happy to check out Turner’s Seafood in Melrose this weekend, an awesome restaurant that’s actually right in my neighborhood (I know, I’m so lucky, right?). I love their incredibly fresh and creatively prepared seafood dishes and their beautiful interior, complete with an open kitchen and lots of ocean-inspired décor.
We started our lunch with a lobster slider, and some delicious Asian Nachos, which is a dish of wontons topped with tuna sashimi, asian slaw, wasabi aioli, and candied ginger. They were beautiful and delicious! We paired it with their pistachio martini, a drink of baileys, disaronno, and blue curaçao. Look at that color!

Then, for our entrees, I loved the Black and Bleu Shrimp, a dish of blackened shrimp topped with an orange marmalade glaze, and paired with sautéed vegetables and a bleu cheese risotto cake. The Seafood Medley, a dish of scallops, shrimp, and scrod, which you can get broiled or fried, was also excellent.

As if it couldn’t get any better, dessert was perfect. I always talk about how I am looking for a really good molten chocolate cake, and finally I discovered another one at Turner’s. The butterscotch bread pudding was great too.

If you’re not close to Melrose, don’t worry because Turner’s has two additional locations — one in Gloucester and one in Salem! Check out their full menu here.
