I was so happy to finally check out Shepard in Harvard Square last weekend. It’s been on my list since it opened, and I’ve been dying to check it out since it was one of two Boston area restaurants featured as one of Bon Appétit Magazine’s Best New Restaurants of 2016 (in the entire country!).
Shepard is a small plates style restaurant, and their menu is very veggie-centric, which I loved. We started our dinner with some brussels sprouts, charred broccoli, and shishito peppers.
Then, the Hikona Kabu Turnips, the hot chicken bits, and the tortellini vuoto. All incredibly delicious.

We were so impressed with everything that we had to order dessert. We got the chocolate ginger cake, and the incredibly delicious Buttermilk Bars, which are basically gourmet donuts. They were absolutely incredible.
