I had an awesome time checking out the new menu at BISq last weekend. For those who haven’t heard, BISq recently got a talented new chef, Alex Saenz, who was formerly the chef de cuisine at Puritan & Co, another one of my favorite spots in Cambridge. I love what Chef Alex has brought to BISq, especially some southern influences as Alex is originally from Charleston!
We started our dinner with some beets, completed with ricotta, boquerones, and pine nuts.
Then, some delicious charcuterie and cheese.
Then, BISq's delicious N’Awlins Barbecue Shrimp Toast and some shishito peppers topped with pickled seaweed and malden salt.

Then another delicious vegetable dish, the roasted baby carrots, with sorrel, mustard seeds, and trout roe.

Finally, and my favorite of the night, the Fried Chicken, paired with a buttermilk ranch dressing. It was incredibly delicious. For brunch, they do this fried chicken with broccoli rabe and a ranch dressing on a buttermilk biscuit. How amazing does that sound?
For dessert, a perfect and warm chocolate chip cookie topped with Nutella and fluff.

What an incredible meal! I loved enjoying these delicious small plates in BISq's quiet, intimate space in Inman Square. You can check out BISq's full dinner menu here. They're open for dinner Sunday to Saturday starting at 5:30pm, and for brunch on Sundays from 10:30am to 2:00pm. Check it out!
