One of my absolute favorite holiday traditions is a hosting a cookie swap with some of my high school friends. This year was our 4th year getting together to show off our best baking skills, and the competition gets fiercer every year.
Every year, we select a winning cookie, but this year, we decided to put more rigor behind our voting system. We had four categories: most delicious, most creative, most beautiful, and best overall. Each participant got four ballots, and was allowed to vote for one person for each category.
This year I decided to make an apricot walnut Rugelach.
We had a big variety from all of my friends, who made some pretty beautiful and delicious cookies this year.
