I had an amazing time last night at Bistro du Midi checking out their St. Valentine’s Tasting menu! They are serving the tasting menu now through Monday, February 13th, and guests can choose either a five course or seven course option with dishes like salmon crudo, stuffed calamari, scallops, bucatini, and more! In my opinion, it's a great way to experience the best of what Bistro du Midi has to offer.
My friend and I went for the seven course menu option, and enjoyed everything with an awesome view. We were seated on the second floor, overlooking the wintery Boston Common.
To start, for amuse bouche, their Fin de la baie oyster, which was topped with caviar.
For the first course, an amazing salmon crudo, topped with crispy quinoa and grapefruit.
For the second course, stuffed calamari!
Then, one of my favorites, their seared foie gras, paired with milk bread!
For the fourth course, another one of my favorites — scallops!
For the fifth course, a bucatini pasta dish with octopus and manchego cheese.
Our final savory course was an incredibly delicious venison loin.
For our final course, a selection of desserts — including, my favorite, the pumpkin soufflé in the center. The perfect way to end an incredible tasting!
Bistro du Midi is located at 272 Boylston Street in Boston, right across from the Boston Common. You can make reservations at Bistro du Midi on their website here.
