I had a delicious lunch last week at Babbo in the Seaport. For those who don’t know, Babbo is an excellent Mario Batali owned restaurant that opened in 2015. I love it for pizza, pasta, and their extensive selection of gelato.
We started with a cheese plate, which comes paired with truffle honey, apricot mostarda, and amarena cherries.
Then, pizza! We went for the Quattro Formaggi, a pizza of mozzarella, smoked mozzarella, gorgonzolo, and grana padono.
We also got their classic rigatoni dish — the Rigatoni alla Norma. A perfect plate of rigatoni with tomato, eggplant, basil, and ricotta cheese.
For dessert, their “Black & White,” a glass of milk chocolate chip gelato, creme fraiche gelato, hazelnut croccante, and chocolate caramel crema. Perfect! Also, a lovely lemon meringue pie.
