This weekend I had an amazing time checking Forage, a restaurant right outside of Harvard Square focusing on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. It was one of my favorite spots that I’ve visited in a while.
My friend and I started out with some cocktails — the 130 and the Pineapple Express.
Then, their rock shrimp and soba noodles dish, which was complete with ice lettuce, sesame, and a carrot and ginger vinaigrette. I also absolutely loved their roasted carrots dish, which was complete with melted cheese, turnips, pecans, and pecan truffle salt.
Then, we had a light salad and some cheese (Baked Moses Sleeper from Jasper Hill), paired with cranberry preserves and baguette.
For entrees, we split their Pan Seared Arctic Char, a dish with shrimp, mussels, and root vegetables, poached in a spicy coconut and rum broth.
Then, for dessert, a buckwheat chocolate cake, cranachan, and this absolutely amazing kombucha popsicle. My friend and I couldn’t stop raving about how delicious it was and how it was such a great idea.
Check out Forage’s full menu here. They’re located at 5 Craigie Circle in Cambridge.
