I had an awesome time this weekend checking out Tavolo, a great Italian restaurant in Dorchester serving delicious pastas, pizzas, and more. Their food is incredible, and I was so impressed with their space, which was recently renovated and features beautiful clay murals by a local artist, April Clay.
We started our dinner with some wine, and one of Tavolo’s delicious cocktails, the Mango Punch.
Then, for appetizers, their brussels sprouts, burrata, meatballs, mussels, and my favorite, the white anchovies with smoked sea salt.
Then, for our entrees, we tried their mushroom pizza. It was complete with whipped ricotta, taleggio, scallion-truffle oil, and rosemary. Perfect!
We also tried a few of their pasta dishes — the brown butter seared potato gnocchi, the tagliatelle bolognese, and the chili shrimp maltagliati.
For dessert, a little bit of everything! Their white chocolate cannoli, panna cotta, a pear crostata, and my favorite, the pomegranate semifreddo.
Check out Tavolo at 1918 Dorchester Ave in Dorchester!
