I had an awesome time this weekend checking out Les Sablons, a new restaurant that opened up in Harvard Square this week from the team behind Row 34.
First, I was so impressed by their space, which is seated in an old train conductor’s building across the street from the Charles Hotel. Their art is beautiful, and the dining room is completed with these chic yellow booths and velvet bar chairs. I also loved their Play-Doh mural at the back of the restaurant.
We started with some cocktails, the Pentimento, and the Spitfire.
Then we decided to split a bunch of their smaller plates — the Seared White Asparagus, the Smoked Maine Uni, the Rye Spaghetti, and the Mushroom Streudel. For context, I was with a friend who is a vegetarian, so we were definitely leaning on the veggie-side of the menu, but all of the fish and meat dishes looked incredible.
The rye spaghetti was definitely my favorite. Everything was delicious, but this dish was just absolutely stellar. One of my favorite things I’ve tried in the past few months.
For dessert, the Chocolate Cremeux and the Lemon Posset.
You can make reservations at Les Sablons on Reserve here. They're located at 2 Bennett Street in Cambridge.
