This Memorial Day Weekend, I headed down to the Cape and checked out The Skipper Restaurant & Chowder House in South Yarmouth. The Skipper is most known for their award-winning clam chowder, and they have an awesome menu filled with an array of other seafood dishes including oysters, steamers, lobster rolls, and so much more.
When I visited with my friend, we started off with their beautiful coastal punch.
Then, their famous clam chowder, which was so delicious and definitely lived up to the hype.
We also tried their “Fried” Clam Chowdah dish, which is basically clam chowder in cake form. They use their clam chowder recipe for the batter and fry it in a panko breadcrumb crust.
For entrees, we tried their impressive Crispy Fish Taco, and a lobster roll. For the lobster roll, they have a few different offerings, but I went with their “The Wicked Awesome,” which is their hot lobster roll served with butter on a grilled brioche bun. It was, in fact, wicked awesome.
