I was so excited to check out Lion’s Tail last week, an awesome cocktail bar and restaurant at Ink Block in Boston’s South End.
When I visited with my friend, we started with some cocktails — the super impressive looking (and tasting) Swizzle and the Flip, an incredibly tasty drink of whiskey, carpano antica, creme de noyaux, spiced cherry & burnt blood orange shrub, lemon, egg whites, and cherry bark bitters. I loved them both.
For food we started with the meat and cheese board and the hand cut fries.
Then, some asparagus, crab cakes, and the confit pork belly.
My friend was convinced that we were too full for dessert, but we had to make room for this amazing ice cream cookie sandwich. I always like to say there is a separate stomach for dessert because no matter how much I eat, I always need something sweet at the end of a meal. And if it's something like this I can never say no!
Check out Lion’s Tail at 354 Harrison Avenue in Boston. You can find their menus on their website here.
