I was so excited to check out SRV this weekend. I had heard such great things about this spot in the South End for a long time, and I was so happy to finally visit for dinner with a friend.
We started with some cocktails — the Aperol Spritz and the #2 Fairbanks.
Then, we decided to go with their Arsenale Menu, which is a prixe fix experience that the entire table agrees to participate in, and you get to try a little bit from each section of the menu.
First, the cicchetti, basically some small snack dishes. We had the soft boiled quail egg, the polpette, ricotta on a squid ink crostini, and mini calzones. I loved all of them, and I really like the idea of being able to get just a small taste of so many different things!
Then, an artichoke salad, a striped bass dish, and a chicken thigh dish.
For our pastas, the Lumache, a pasta with shrimp, snails, mussels and vermouth, and the Garganelli, a pasta with n’duja-carrot sugo, and pea green pesto.
For dessert, we tried a selection of SRV’s gelatos and sorbets as well as a chocolate tart. A perfect way to end the night.
I loved enjoying all of this on SRV’s beautiful patio. It was a perfect night for it!
