I had an incredible dinner at North Square Oyster a few weeks back. It’s a spot that opened up in May of this year that I’ve been dying to check out, and was so happy that I finally did. First, their space is absolutely gorgeous — a beautiful first floor with marble tables and high ceilings, and a second floor overlooking North Square. Second, and most importantly, their food is absolutely delicious. I was so impressed by everything I tried.
One of my favorites was what we started with, North Square Oyster’s composed oysters — we got two of each and some regular raw oysters as well.
Then, one of their specials, a salmon crudo in a beautiful rice paper and their hamachi crudo.
I also loved their crab and avocado dish.
For entrees, we went with the hot lobster roll. Since I was with a friend, they were kind enough to split it for us!
In addition to the lobster roll, we tried the lobster and oxtail bolognese, which is made with a house made rigatoni, parsnip, ricotta, and rosemary.
For dessert, North Square Oyster’s Boston Cream Pie.
I have to say, North Square Oyster is a must try for locals, and it’s a spot I’m definitely going to recommend for visitors from out of town — they get amazing seafood and an incredibly picturesque restaurant in a quaint little spot in the North End.
Check out North Square Oyster’s full menu here. They’re located at 5 North Square in Boston.
