I had so much fun today getting a tour of Wilson Farm, an amazing local farm based in Lexington, MA that has been around since 1884. They also have a much larger property in Litchfield, NH where they grow a lot of their crops to bring to the Lexington storefront or to sell at grocery stores.
Anyway, their Lexington property is really impressive. They grow tons of different crops including tomatoes, green beans, pumpkins, and so much more. When I visited today they even had a greenhouse full of poinsettias that they were getting ready for the holiday season.
Throughout the rest of the property they have a big bakery, a flower center, and even their henhouse where they get their fresh eggs for the store.
I was so excited to check out some of their fall goodies today — some pumpkins, apple cider donuts, caramel apples, apple spread, and more. Every weekend of September, Wilson Farm makes caramel apples and apple cider donuts.
Check out the spread I came home with:
Anyway, I highly recommend visiting Wilson Farm on any upcoming weekend or anytime to check out their impressive selection of locally sourced produce, baked goods, plants, flowers, and more. Their Lexington location is at 10 Pleasant Street in Lexington, MA.
