I had a great time this weekend checking out the recently opened Yellow Door Taqueria in Dorchester. They have a beautiful space right in Dorchester’s Lower Mills neighborhood, and their menu features delicious tacos as well as ceviches and salads. Clearly people have caught on already — when I visited around 5pm on a Sunday, they were already packed!
My friend and I started with some cocktails. We really loved the Siesta, a drink of chinaco blanco, sloe gin, strawberry cordial, ginger beer, cucumber, and lime. We paired our drinks with some guac and chips and their Yellow Tail ceviche. The guacamole looked so good I almost started eating it before I took a picture — I was mid-dip when I realized, so that's why there's a chip in there!
Then, we tried a bunch of tacos — the spicy chorizo, the daily fish taco, the veggie, the duck confit, the pork belly, and the Azteca.
All of them were delicious, but I think the spicy chorizo one was my favorite — that’s the one with the pretty little quail egg on top.
Check out Yellow Door Taqueria’s full menu here. They’re located at 2297 Dorchester Ave in Dorchester.
