I had a lovely dinner at Mastro’s Ocean Club last week, an upscale seafood and steak restaurant that opened up a location in Boston’s Seaport district this summer. Their menu is filled with lots of decadent and delicious dishes — lobster cocktail, caviar, foie gras, steaks, and so much more.
When I visited with my friend last week, we started with some cocktails and a glass of wine. We knew we wanted something pretty and sweet, so our server recommended that we get the Lemon Drop Martini, which came completed with a rim of edible glitter. My friend and I were super impressed!
Then, for our food, we went with seafood — I got the salmon and my friend kept it light with the octopus carpaccio. Since we went light on the entrees, we went all out with our sides — the Alaskan King Crab Black Truffle Gnocchi, which was to die for, and some Brussels sprouts with bacon. It was perfect!
For dessert, we couldn’t leave without trying Mastro’s Signature Warm Butter Cake. It’s a delicious warm vanilla cake with cream cheese — a bit crunchy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. Topped with fruit and vanilla ice cream! We also tried and loved the chocolate pudding cake.
Check out Mastro’s Ocean Club Boston at 25 Fan Pier Boulevard in Boston. Their full menu is available here.
