I had a great dinner this weekend at Bastille Kitchen, a great modern French Restaurant in Fort Point. I’ve been to Bastille Kitchen a few times and I’ve always loved it — they have a beautiful space, and they’ve recently made some great new additions to their menu.
When I visited this weekend with my friend we started with some wine and a cocktail — the Saint Antoine, a drink of rye, apple cider, lemon, and sage. A perfect drink for fall!
Then, for appetizers, we went with their cheese plate, and the Parisian Gnocchi, which was incredible — the dish was made with gnocchi, crab, sweet potato, and baby Brussels sprouts.
For our entrees, my friend went with the her crusted lamb chop, which was complete with roasted baby root vegetables, lemon rosemary polenta fries, and butternut squash purée. It smelled so good I had to take a few bites of hers!
I went with the seared salmon for my entree, complete with cauliflower purée, romanesco, pearl onions, fennel, and grapefruit.
As if it couldn’t get any better, we ended the meal with some amazing fall-inspired desserts. Their pumpkin cheesecake and their incredible Apple Cheddar Fritters, which came with warm caramel sauce and apple cinnamon ice cream.
You can check out Bastille Kitchen’s full menu here. They are located at 49 Melcher Street in Boston.
