I had a wonderful time last week getting a taste of some of Whole Foods Market’s holiday offerings.
Along with some other bloggers, I got to sample some prepared foods, cheeses, and desserts!
The Prepared Foods team showed off their super impressive Vegan Holiday meal. It included Roasted Mustard-Glazed Whole Cauliflower, Sauerkraut Roasted Rainbow Carrots, Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Lentil Mushroom Stuffing. It was so delicious, and I really loved the carrot dish.
For all of my vegan friends looking for delicious holiday dishes, this is your spot! I actually recommended this to my friend who is hosting a big group of people for Thanksgiving, including several vegetarians and vegans. She was worried she didn’t have enough interesting dishes for them, and I told her this is a great option to give her guests some incredibly tasty and completely vegan dishes!
Eventually I migrated over to the cheeses, and got a taste of the most delicious Brie stuffed with cranberry jelly and candied walnuts. It was perfection!
The team also featured a Clothbound cheddar cheese and a Robusto. It was so cool to learn from the Whole Foods Market Cheese Mongers about where the cheeses came from and how they were made. I was so impressed with all of their knowledge, and I learned that they are Certified Cheese Professionals by the American Cheese Society. They have many of them in Whole Foods Market stores throughout the region.
And as someone with a huge sweet tooth, I was super impressed with the holiday dessert spread.
It included a Sweet Lady Jane deep dish cherry pie, Kayak Cookies (made locally in Hyannis!), a Four & Twenty Blackbirds Bittersweet Chocolate Pecan Pie, Junior’s Black Bottomed Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake, chocolate covered French macaron lollipops, a wonderful assortment of Whole Foods Market pies, and more. Does it get any better than this?!
