I was so excited to partner with Skedaddle the weekend before Thanksgiving for a foodie game day experience to go to Connecticut for the Harvard-Yale Game!
For those who haven’t heard of Skedaddle, it’s an awesome, on-demand charter bus service. Let’s say you’re in the city and you’re going to a concert at Gillette or going skiing in Vermont — Skedaddle is perfect. When you're planning your trip, you can check Skedaddle’s app to see if a route has already been created for others headed to the same spot as you, or you can create a route that others can join.
Once ten people total have joined a route, Skedaddle guarantees a vehicle, and you can purchase a ticket. You can also create private routes for group events like a friend’s birthday, wedding, or group trip.
So the weekend before Thanksgiving, I headed down to the annual Harvard-Yale football game with Skedaddle. If you saw my Instagram post, I did a giveaway with my followers, and I met up with all of the winners on game day for a fun day of food and football.
We started the day at one of my favorite breakfast spots in Cambridge, Mamaleh’s. It’s a wonderful Jewish Deli in Kendall Square.
After lots of blintzes and bagel sandwiches, we took off for New Haven in our Skedaddle bus.
About two and a half hours later we arrived at the Yale Stadium with our foam fingers in hand.
And unfortunately, while Harvard got beat 3 to 24, at least there were snacks!
After the game, we got back on our bus and made a pit stop at the renowned Frank Pepe’s Pizza, a super popular pizza shop that started in New Haven (I’m so happy we got one in Boston a few years ago!).
Then, we headed back to Boston, and it was so nice to relax on one of Skedaddle’s busses rather than deal with big crowds on the train or try to drive back myself after such a long day.
For those interested in trying Skedaddle for your next concert, ski-trip, group event, or anything you might be traveling for, you can use my code BOSTONFOODIES for $10 off your next ride.
Thanks to Skedaddle for sponsoring this post.
