I had a great dinner last week at Matadora, a recently opened spot in Woburn that was created in partnership with the team behind some of my favorite Boston spots — Yvonne’s, Lolita, and RUKA. Their menu is filled with lots of charcuterie and cheese as well as delicious tapas and wood-fired steaks.
When I visited we started with some charcuterie and cheese, including their aged manchego, torta del casar, sobrassada, and jamon Iberico.
Then, for tapas, their delicious Kale Salad complete with melted provolone, chickpeas, olives, red onion, burnt raisins, crispy pumpkin, and pepitas.
Also, their Basque street corn and their spicy tuna tartar complete with hummus, green olive, espelette mayo, and sesame on a rosemary torta.
Finally, their delicious shrimp toast, a dish of wild shrimp and spicy saffron butter on garlic toast.
And for dessert, their wonderful churros with chocolate dipping sauce.
Check out Matadora’s full menu here. They’re located at 2 Forbes Road in Woburn, MA.
