I had an awesome time checking out Freepoint Kitchen & Cocktails this week, a great spot inside the adorable Freepoint Hotel in West Cambridge. Acclaimed Boston-chef Matthew Gaudet debuted the restaurant last April, and I was so happy to finally check it out.
My friend and I started with some champagne and a few of their appetizers — their beautiful platter of artisan cheeses and cured meats, roasted nuts, and a super delicious artichoke and crab dip made with spinach and parmesan.
Next, we tried one of their flatbreads — the Frenchie, which is complete with saucisson sec, caramelized onions, and ricotta. I wish you could smell it!
Then, their delicious burger and their bacon and apple grilled cheese. It was perfect.
I wish it had been warm enough to have some hot cocoa on their patio — it’s so beautiful, as is the rest of the hotel. I love the design of the entire space.
Check out Freepoint Kitchen & Cocktail’s full menu here. They’re located at 220 Alewife Brook Parkway in Cambridge.
