One of the questions I get a lot on Instagram and on the blog is about where to take a significant other out for a special dinner (usually an anniversary or some other sort of celebration), and I have a pretty good core list of upscale restaurants with great food that I often recommend to people. One that I’m adding to my list after a recent dinner there is Meritage at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
A few weekends ago I visited with a friend for dinner, and I was blown away by their food, their service, and their stunning view of the water. Situated at the second floor of the Boston Harbor Hotel, the restaurant overlooks the hotel’s Gazebo. It’s really beautiful to watch the sun set over the course of the evening.
When I visited, we started with a rosé flight, and some smaller plates — pappardelle pasta and the yellowfin tuna.
Then, for entrées, the Georges Bank Scallops and the Atlantic Halibut.
Then, a wonderful cheese plate before enjoying one of their beautiful plated desserts.
Check out Meritage’s full menu here. They’re located at 70 Rowes Wharf at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
