I had an awesome dinner this week at Sumiao Hunan in Cambridge. If you haven’t heard of Sumiao Hunan before, it opened up last year in Kendall Square, and serves Hunan Chinese Cuisine with a modern twist. They also have a super fun, beautiful space.
When I visited with my friend we started with some cocktails. I couldn’t get over how beautiful the Perpetual Motion cocktail is — it’s made with Hong Kong baijiu, blood orange puree, muddled mint and lime, and elderflower liqueur. It was just as tasty as it looks!
Then, we started with some spicy cauliflower, steamed pork bao, some of their scallion twisty rolls, and their avocado meatballs.
Then, a delicious rib dish and some of their Hunan Street Noodles, made with beef, chicken shrimp, and pak choi.
And from their new summer menu, we tried and loved the Iced Arctic Surf Clam, and their Cold Snow Fungus & Pear Soup!
For dessert, the Exotic Bomba, made with mango, passion fruit, and raspberry sorbetto in a white chocolate shell. The perfect way to end our delicious meal!
