I had an awesome dinner last week at Kaze Shabu Shabu, a hot pot restaurant in Chinatown. For those who haven’t tried hot pot before, you basically order a soup broth, a bunch of ingredients (meats, noodles, vegetables, etc.), and then you cook them yourself at your table. I love doing it with a big group of people!
When I visited we started with some cocktails and some appetizers as our soup was warming up. Kaze Shabu Shabu has some great appetizers (separate from their hot pot menu) including Pan-Fried Chicken with Chili Peppers, Japanese Shrimp Tempura, Stir-Fried Baby Clams, and more!
For our soup base, we went with a Tom Yum Soup and another soup with pork.
We got a lot of meat to add to our soup including the most amazing Wagyu beef with gold flakes, boneless short rib, chicken breast, and more.
We also got some dumplings, udon noodles, and a big plate a vegetables which included radishes, Chinese lettuce, enoki mushroom, spinach, and more.
For more on Kaze Shabu Shabu, check out their full menu here. They’re located at 1 Harrison Ave in Boston. I highly recommend checking them out for an awesome hot pot experience!
