I had an awesome dinner last week at Mumbai Spice on Mass Ave right by Symphony Hall. If you haven’t been there before, they have an extensive offering of authentic Indian dishes, including a great selection of Mumbai street food style plates. My friend and I really enjoyed it!
When we visited last week, we started with some Mango Lassis, and a few of their Mumbai street food appetizers — the Pav Bhaji and the Dahi Aloo Papri Chaat, which was one of my favorite dishes. It’s made with potatoes and crisp fried flour puffs then tossed with tamarind and mint chutnies and yogurt.
Then, Saag Paneer, which is one of my favorite things to get at Indian restaurants — it’s a dish of cottage cheese cooked in a baby spinach curry. We also tried the Vegetable Biryani and the Chicken Hot Garlic, paired with some Garlic Naan.
We left stuffed and with plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.
Check out Mumbai Spice’s full menu here. They’re located at 251 Massachusetts Ave in Boston.
