I was so excited to check out Idle Hour this weekend, a new cocktail bar and restaurant Quincy Center. They’ve got a super cool space and lots of great culinary and cocktail talent — namely, Ashley Gaboriault, formerly of Drink, as Chef; and Jackie Wells, most recently of the Beehive, as Bar Director.
I got a little taste of a few of their cocktails and snacks.
For drinks, the Tiffed Librarian, a super interesting looking drink with vodka, grilled peach purée, and charcoal, adorned with a candy peach ring. Also, the Size Matters, made with strawberry-infused mezcal, aperol, lime, and basil syrup. I loved this one!
For snacks, the Grilled Peaches made with tomato, cucumber, and halloumi; the super tasty Reuben Nuggets (*drool*), paired with saukraut and a thousand island dipping sauce; and the Rock Shrimp Sliders, made with garlic, cherry tomatoes, and old bay mayo on housemade buns. Seriously this makes me wish I lived closer to Quincy.
Check out Idle Hour’s full menu here. They’re located at 1464 Hancock Street in Quincy.
