I had a great time last week trying out Sugar & Spice, an awesome Thai restaurant in Porter Square in Cambridge. They have been open for over 10 years and were recently recognized as a Thai Select restaurant, an award that recognizes eateries for serving authentic Thai food.
When my friend and I visited we started with some chicken skewers and crab rangoons.
Then, one of my favorite dishes — the Tom Yum Sukhothai soup, a dose with rice noodles, chicken, shrimp, fish ball, chili, vegetables, crushed nuts, and crispy wontons. It was so full of flavor!
Another one of my favorite dishes was the Purple Fried Rice, which is a fried rice dish made with shrimp paste, chicken, egg, and shredded mango.
We also enjoyed the Koi Soi Koo Krob, Lemongrass King dish, and their Seafood hot pot
And of course, we had to try their Pad Thai, which was one of my favorites I've ever had — it tasted so much more fresh and flavorful than most I've tried before.
I also loved how all of the dishes were plated so beautifully — even the rice!
For dessert, a delicious coconut sticky rice, one topped with green tea ice cream, and another with coconut ice cream.
Check out Sugar & Spice’s full menu here. They’re located at 1933 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge. They have a happy hour every day from 4PM-6PM where you can get 50% off appetizers by going to their Instagram page, retrieving their QR code, and asking the waiter or waitress to scan it!
